If the Hot Rails lived in their proper decade--the Excessive 70s--their liner notes would be the tale of a winding discography lost to the winds of stoned history, now championed by victorious historians.
Featuring blazing guitar riffs by twin lead guitars shredding seamlessly through chuggin' rhythms, The Hot Rails are the quintessential 70s hard rock band: an unapologetic, head-banging salute to the days of American beers, cigarettes, naked lady mud-flaps and rock 'n' roll.
Having somehow managed to release two albums (To Hell with the Hot Rails and Single Entendre) they have brought their booze-addled antics across the Midwest and down to the SXSW music festival, threatening to drive audiences and the band themselves to the brink of deafness, if not annihilation.
The song included in this compilation, Easy Livin', is a one-time collaboration between the Hot Rails, Mike Allen (Bass) and Ben Gmetro (producer/engineer). Ben, Mike, and Charlie are close friends of Dave and Josh McLaughlin. The vocal performance is by Joshua Weiss.
